Hello,

I asked about pressure washers a few days ago. I've been looking and looking..... .. I've found a Karcher 2400HH has a 5.0 HP Honda engine with 2400 PSI and 2.5GPM.

You think this has enough power to clean my dirty, cruddy, oil, Ford 8N?

Yes a 2400 psi washer will do but a 3500 will do better and meet all your needs. I have had both. What I have found out is with the 2400 psi unit I had to stand on top of what I was cleaning and get wet and all the junk on me. With more pressure I could stand away from what i was cleaning and stay clean and dry, and If I found a hard to clean aera I could move in and take care of it quickly.

Try this place for pressure washers. I bought one from them with a CAT pump, which are fully rebuildable. It's a 13 horse power, honda driven at 4000 pressure. Very good for cleaning just about anything. You may not need that kind of pressure and HP to do what you need to do and may not want to spend that kind of money but as you will see if you go the site they have many other models. I was told many of the pumps that are on these washers are basically through away once they go bad but the CAT pump is fully rebuildable and parts are readily available usually locally. I have had good service from these folks also. When I got the pump delivered the base axle was bent and a wheel was bent up due to the shipping company handling it roughly. I called ProJet and they had me a new base with a new wheel at my house in a week. If you really want a good nozzle get the turbo nozzle along with the pump, it does a good job for cleaning the tough stuff.

Depends how long you want to work at it and how dirty your tractor is. It should do the job but use something to loosen the gunk first. 2400# is no biggie but if you are not making a living at it may work for you. I am not a big fan of Karcher, I have their 3500# unit. Parts are not easy to find, most attachments are not universal, people in LA headquarters are real difficult to deal with too. I suggest renting one for $25-45 a day to see if you think laying out the purchase price is worth it.
