I need to get a new clutch.

It does absolutly nothing.

I need to know:

1. It is currently in first gear - how do I switch gears with the clutch gone... When I try to move the stick it wont budge

2. How to start it if I cant get in nuteral. My starter wont engage if not in nuteral.

I need to load this up onto a trailer and take it to get repaired, but first I need to start it up and ride it up on the trailer...

Help!

Maybe your clutch is ok and your gears are locked up. Removing the cover under the gear shift will expose the gears and you might be able to see what's wrong. Gears jamming and locking a transmission have been discussed here before. Good luck. Steve 8N 169302

Babs..... ...I've never known a tranny that you "can't" get into neutral. Try rocking your tractor by pushing on one of those great big ol' rear tires, this will relieve the pressure on the gears and you should beable to slip the tranny into neutral.

You might want to check the "archives" at the top of this great N-Board. There have been several "how too's" unstick the clutch. Depends upon your desperation level. Some learn to block the clutch pedal with a block of wood or even a beer can so that the clutch doesn't stick again.

Recommend if you decide to take your tractor into a repair shop you seriously investiagate having a "flatbed" hauler winch it up onto the bed. Unless the trailer you plan to use has a winch. Its tuff to drive up on a trailer when you can't control it with the clutch.

Hope this helps and if you need more info, please ask the N-Board, we're want to help..... ...Dell

Try jacking up the rear wheels and move them back and forth while someone trys to get it out of gear. You will then have to push it or wench it onto the trailer...
