Position control rocker

'51 8N. If a guy was hogging with position control what would he lose by connecting the top link to a pin there where the (missing) rocker arm normally connects to the differential housing? The control spring would just be hanging there connected only on the one end.
How 'bout a blade?
How 'bout a boom pole?
Is that spring there for anything but draft control? Is it necessary for position control?

That spring is only there for draft control.

It would not have any effect on the lift if the top link were connected rigidly to the rocker hole.

However if this hole is damaged or broken off then you are going to be in for a lot of grief.
