Getting ready to rebuild my 2N and was wondering what advantages/disadvantages there are to converting to the rotating exhast valves. Any special tools I need? Thanks.

Roger

Hi Roger,

I used the rotator valves and adjustable tappets when I rebuilt my 8N a few years ago. I don't know about the disadvantages, but my 8N engine runs as quiet as my 2002 Silverado pick up truck. Before it always had a ticking and clacking sound in the engine. I didn't know a flathead N engine could run so quiet and smooth. HTH. Rick H. Ga.

Thanks for the comments, Rick. I'll probably go that route but just wanted some feedback from some others out there. Appreciate the info.

Roger
