...is a failure to communicate! ( quote courtesy of Cool Hand Luke )

Check out this item on ebay ( #2420721515 ) and explain to me how it can be a '56 8N Ford AND a Ferguson. Looks more like a Ferguson with a ROPS and John Deere paint job. Is this a joke???

Tim

I've always been partial to AC orange and JD green, with a lot of respect to those of you who like the other colors, but why some people need to mess up a good tractor with their own ideas, I'll never figure that one out. Just like seeing books with 'restored' tractors with various parts painted in other than factory original. Playing on the ignorance of others, or what? I guess they never got over the idea that all Model T cars came in black, any shade, so their tractor should be in whatever they want.

ive seen many wird mixed up paint jobs in my life (thus so far) ie, dark grey ford 8n,bright white for 8n and on and on but this seems to be craziest tractor i ever saw...

you guys rember a few months ago someone posted ad in photo ads section saying it was some 1950's ford 8n golden jubilee and it was some crazy 8n or somethiong.....its funny to se what goes on in someones mind to do that...

but ya miscommunication is one thing. My local n-freind let me drive his tractor in the freezing cold and we was talking about fords and stuff and he said they started in 48.. not 47...i mean the 8n's...its funny how many dont know what is what...they need this site entirely....

my 2 cents....!!

It's a Fergie- OHV engine, check out the transmission case and dash. Ferguson TO-30 ended this line in 1953, the TO-20 ended in 1951. 1956? I doubt it. This seller definitely needs help....

Hey BG-
Yeah, I figured it was a Fergie, but I'd still like to get a good look at his ROPS setup. Something tells me it is mostly for looks and would not pass an OSHA test!
