I live in eastern Canada and yesterday I went to look at a used trailer hitch for my 1999 windstar. To my delight I also came across a 1950 Ford 8n. This tractor owned by an elderly gentleman(original owner) has been in storage for the last number of years, the only use it got was a routine annual starting and then winterized once again. This Tractor was 100% original in immaculate condition. The original tires both front and rear are at least 60%. The right angled gearbox for the pto belt drive was still in the original box, the owner\service manual is also with the tractor. Can anyone give me an idea of the value of this old girl in its original perfect state. Is it any more valuable than a thorough restoration of the same type tractor.

Thanks

Here in central Iowa, the same thing would probably go for about $3500. Given the condition, if someone really really wanted it, maybe 4 grand tops. 8N's in great shape sell all the time for $2500 or so around here.

Good Luck!

Did you ask if it was for sale? Might have made a good buy. I might not been able to afford it but I would have had to ask just to make myself feel better;]

Original owner? Original manual? Top shape? Never restored? Obviously worth more to me than a restoration, but then again, I don't have the money either way.
