Zane my posting is on 1-08-01 at 16.20.36 Here's my problem in a nutshell. When I start the tractor cold in the barn with the lever in the down postion the arms come all the way up. At any point I can go back and hold them down myself or lift them up.Once up the stay up with the lever down and can be pushed down. With the lever in the up postion the arms are up and can be pushed down. They won't go down in any postion unless pushed down, the lever is useless. They seem to go up steady and fairly fast, just the arms come up with no lever control and no pressure and won't go down unless you turn off the tractor or push in the clutch. Does the same when oil is warmed up. Oil looks very heavy [90] and is milky but I have seen worse work in other tractors. Tractor was reported to have worked OK this summer and it has sat a while in a cold barn, my son's.When we messed with it a couple days ago it seemed to try to work right twice in a hours period, but my son was in the back playing the plow and he reported up pressure, so I don't know. Where should I start and have you every had a problem like this Thanks Zane you are a great asset to this board!!

I think that you have a stuck control valve and the oil needs to be changed after rinsing out the lift with keorsene.

See my Post earlier for you at 19:05 yesterday.
