I'm putting this 8N together and it doesn't have the anchors there on either side of the pto.
Faced with the prospect of buying anchors I'm thinking I could put a pto shield in place of the anchors. Anyone have such a shield and can give me the source?
I could go another way because I have a draw bar clevis on there so I could add the drawbar hanger. Does that hanger negate the anchors?
I don't want to buy those anchors only to toss em aside one day because they aren't used with a shield or hanger.

the aftermarket swinging drawbar kits, like tisco makes, have the tabs for the sway chains made right into them, when i put the swinging drawbar on my fathers NAA i had to take off the original tabs and the new bracket bolts on where they did

Sounds like what I should do. Those anchors are like $10 anyway. I'll just go ahead and buy the drawbar hanger and the drawbar and be able to stow the drawber itself when I'm not using it.
That would be a lot less time and effort then setting up that 11-hole drawbar everytime I hitch the trailor up. I've been looking for a reason to justify buying that swinging drawbar anyway.
Sounds good, thanks.

yea i gota say the swinging drawbar is great, my fathers tractor had only the 11 hole drawbar since he got it in the 70s, never saw a need for a swinging drawbar i guess, well last year i added a swinging drawbar that was on a parts tractor, a ferg to-20 that i got, and i use that thing all the time, no more fussing with the balance to keep the tounge down, no worries about jacknifing against the 11 hole drawbar etc, hitch balls can be bolted right in, its great and well worth the money

For now I'm thinking I'll go with the swinging drawbar hanger. It's $45 but Mark says it has a place for the anchor chains built in. The tractor has the clevis and if I get that hanger I'll just need the swinging drawbar itself and some pins I guess. What's that...30-35 dollars?
That would be great for my 4x8 trailor with 65 gals of water on it.
Thanks anyway.
