I just redid mine a couple months ago cause I had to drop the pan to fix oil pick up tube. It is not hard at all, just helps to have two people. I did all the work myself and it made it twice as hard. You need to take off the hood, of course block the tractor up behind motor/oil pan REAL good, take front end loose and move at least one side out of the way. I did not take my radiator hose off, just moved the front end forward-cause I had to get to 1 bolt that you have to move the front axle to get to. Make sure you take out ALL the bolts, the ones on the front I missed and wondered why the pan did not drop. As far as a gasket, no one in my area (and its farming/8n country) had one and everyone told me to use the blue rtv silicone which I have had a lot of experience with. I did and it worked great. Using a gasket is up to you, but you will probably have to order it.

Long story short-a pretty easy job in the shade with 2 people.

Mike
