I have recieved an email from a member of this board who was blocked from posting on this board, Indicating that he would like to return. This member has never been abusive to anyone that I know of. He has a wealth of practical info from his experiences. He was a Pilot, Tractor owner and user, aircraft mechanic and Instructor.
His life in a rural farming area provided him with many opportunites to repair and familiarize himself with various kinds of agricultural machinery, Methods, techniques,Etc. All of which are an asset to the members here. He has tried to contact Kim, yet to date has not received a reply. Is this a technical problem? Meaning are his messages just not getting through? Or is he being deliberately blocked for some reason that he is not aware of. Can we please restore his ability to post. If not, could we please have an adequate explanation why not? I will provide his name to Kim or someone else, who is a recognisable member of the board. Regards, Rich

Once when I first came here I posted a link to a site that had a nude girl that was sitting on a red belly Ford Tractor.
Got me banned for about 9 months.
I don't know about your friend but that is one thing that will get you banned here.

Thanks, Rich and everyone else who posted to this kind board.

Got the 9N out of the shed, and like always, she started right up. Sits for 6 months or so at a time. I was think'n 'bout offering her for sale, but just couldn't part with her. I was forgett'n what the seat feels like. I guess that I would have to be desperate before I would let her go.

Thanks again, fellas. I hope we can git all this "high-tech" stuff cleared up.

This summer we have devoted to the study of the C&O canal, here along the Potomac River, from Georgetown to Cumberland, MD.

Well last Thursday, while at Georgetown, the beginning of the Canal, I went into the Barnes and Noble Bookstore, which was located just around the corner, to use their computer to check on things here at my office, and, like always, to view the N-board. Thought maybe I could send a message.

Well, the computer there was "off-the-line" for maintenance.

When I got back to my van, there was a kind message waiting for me.

The over-parking fine is $100.00. Or, $10.00 per minute.

Onthe positive side, we did git to see the MULES.

Actually the C&O canal has been an interesting study project and we have becomed attached to the Williamsport, MD. area.

Just had to comment on the C&O canal east of Cumberland. The WM RR and C&O ran through my grandparents farm about 10 miles east of Cumberland. This was before the federal govenment decided to condem all the land between the canal and the river for it's park. Yes, condemed; The family had deeds and had paid taxes on the land for years but that meant nothing. My GGrandfather "ran on the canal". I can remember running horses and a Fordson tractor through a tunnel that still runs under the canal and RR. I spent several summers as a kid working corn in the river bottoms there. Last time I was down there the trees had taken over the river bottoms and the beavers had dammed the creek that flowed through our property into the Potomac.

OK ! The fog is clearing. It seems that it has something to do with the ISP (Don't ask me what,
I'm barely able to post) Anyway, thanks to Kim , Dell and some others We're getting it cleared up I think. Best of all. it has nothing to do with the member's behavior, I was pretty sure of that anyway. It's technical stuff that's gone awry. I want to thank everyone for their help and concern. Regards, Rich

He may be a victim of a block of IP addresses being blocked. When IP's are blocked the webmaster normally has to stop a "block" of addresses. If not, then everytime the offender logged back into his ISP he would have a new IP and be able to post.

It may just be that someone was blocked using a range of IP's from the same ISP that your friend has.

If your concerned about your Friends Email not getting to Kim.. How bout you Forward His message to her and then you will know it it's his email getting blocked or She just don't want to answer.

just my 2 cents

There are Terms and Conditions of Use at the bottom of the page. I bet that 'spains most cause for a ban.
I saw one guy wondering why he was blocked, he couldn't figure out any reason he wouldn't be allowed to post. Seeing as he sent an email to anyone and everyone that posted on this board inviting them to join another N-board I wasn't too surprised he wasn't welcome here any longer.
Maybe that's not why he was banned but it seems to me a guy that did Kim that way shouldn't be saying there was no reason he wasn't welcome here any longer.

Dunno about that Robb, I was invited to join this board by a member that was posting on N Series.com weren't either one of us thrown off of that board, and I really doubt that Kim trashed someone for making an offer. 'Course I've been wrong a whole lot of times before.

I don't understand why Kim would have a problem with another N club forming.
The person you are putting down is not able to defend himself here. The club you are talking about is a totally open forum. No censures. And everyone behaves themselves nicely

What's so bad about being active in more than one board? Or inviting someone to join another board, to be a part of and help out?
