Hey Zane took off the side cover and looked in there, not much going on no leaks from the top piston went out with no squirts or leaks {remember no pressure, arms just go up with or with out lever up or down] and no swirls in the oil. In fact the oil just seems to to be setting there with the PTO swirling it a little bit.Finally grow some nads and put finger in oil and I think put finger on relief valve and did not fell any pressure or leaks. Where do you think I should go next?? Is the pump even working?? Must be if the arms go up. Thanks Roy

Do you have a 9N 2N or 8N? I didn't notice you mentioning which model you had in previous posts. 8N's have a different linkage inside to control the control valve than the 9N and 2N's.

That was me that had spread the forks to far apart on my 2N when I was disconnecting them for pump removal. Sorry I wasn't clear in exactly what was wrong but I had spread the upper forks to far apart, not the lower. The lower forks were connected properly to the control valve but the upper forks were to loose and not pulling the lower forks sufficient enough to drive the control valve in. Clear as mud right?

Anyway you can check this by taking a long screwdriver and trying to push in toward the engine on the lower forks down near the oil level. If it goes in any and your hitch raises then your control valve is hanging up. You can also try sticking the screwdriver down to where the contol valve is (below the relief valve and right above the drain plug) and pushing it in that way. The spinning PTO shaft is smooth so it shouldn't grab the screwdriver but I would try to stay off of it anyway. The control valve is T shaped with the top of the T being where the forks connect. Try pushing in on the top part of the T. If your control valve is hanging up like mine was, you can take a hose clamp and fasten it around where the upper and lower forks connect at a pivot pin and overlap on one side. This provided more torque to the lower forks.

Are you sure your control valve/piston is moving in and out of the pump body when you move the control lever?? Happened in a post a few days ago. The guy bent the two springy arms that hold the valve/piston and spread them TOO far apart. Thought it was okay, but discovered later he didn't know his own strength. Pulled them together with a big hose clamp. Works fine now.

That's all I can think of at the moment. Maybe stuck parts in the valve body... Clogged passage.. May be time to tear it down and clean it good and rebuild it. Not hard at all.
