I finally got the 9N started;
New points, coil, rotor, silinoid, resistor
and a 12volt battery, everything else is 6volt
it started ran for a hour pulling a box.
When I turned it off to putt gass in it would not start up agin. No spark. Coil feels pretty hot.
Is this due to 12volt battery?

Exactly the right symptoms for a 6V system that's running at 12V. Change the battery! (and probably the coil -- I doubt it's much good now)

check to see if you have a 12 volt coil w/ a 12 volt system or is it a 6 volt coil w/ a12 volt sys
