1950 8n just died

was loading my 8n on trailer when it just died,
now there is lots of back pressure comming out
of the carb when i turn it over,and its pushing
the air cleaner oil out.WHAT HAPPENED?did it shear
the cam key? with the timming marks lined up on fly wheel the number 1 cyl on distrib is ready
to fire so any ideas.

Robert..... ...NOT LIKELY you sheared your camshaft drive,

Most likely, you've got an intake valve stuck open. Take your valve cover sideplates off behind your carb, pull your sparkies, and turn your engine over with fanblades while watching valves go uppity and downey. Maybe you'll be lucky and find that one of your valve keepers came loose..... ....Dell

dell,I went out and looked and all the valves
are working but,there is zero compression on
all the cylnders.now what?

I am no expert on these engines but it sounds to me like you have a valve, or valves stuck in the open position. I would pull the valve cover off the side of the block and check to see what valves are moving when you turn the engine over. You can pull the plugs out then rotate the motor by hand, that will allow you to watch the valves move in sequence. Good luck
