First thing to do is remove the hood and gas tank. They are bolted together. Penetrant around the broken off plugs for a couple of days and then plenty before you try to get them out. Don't want to start an argument but I have found lately that plain old diesel fuel makes as good a penetrating oil as can be bought. Purchase a set of square tapered "ease outs" I agree with Dell that the spiral ones never work but the square tapered ones will work. Not always but much more likely than the sprial ones. The spiral ones just get the threads tighter instead of making the broken part move because they tend to push out when turned to loosen. the square ones don't do this. Use the largest one that will start into the hole in the plug part. If you use too small one it will bottom out against the block before it gets tight in the plug part. YOU will just have to use good judgement as to how far in to drive the ease out. Do it a little and then if it won't move do it a little harder. Be carefull to not strike the valve head with the ease out. It will be better to be sure that the cylinder you are working on it at top dead center of the compression stroke. This will put the valve more out of the way of injury. Good luck. Zane
