I noticed that my mother still has one of those jacks or lifts for a Ford tractor in her shed. From what I remember the large part fit on the three point and against the bolts that fit under the fenders. There was another triangle looking piece that went against the front directly under the front axle. Unfortunately I can't find the rods that fastened these two items together. Does anyone know the approximate value?

It sounds like you have a jack just like the one that my dad bought back in the forties. I still have it and use it. A short piece of 1 1/2" pipe is welded on top of the back legs, and this pipe slips over the nuts that hold the fenders on. These nuts and the ends of the fender bolts are located underneath the axle housing. There is a two piece rod set that connects the front and back jack together. These rods are about 5/16" diameter and each have an eye on one end to hold them together and allow them to be folded together for storage. The other ends of the rods have a 90 degree bend that attaches in holes in the front and rear jack. This is a nifty jack, and dad and I used it many times on a 9N, to widen the wheels for cultivating and also to use a rear mounted mower. I still use it today on my TO-20 Ferguson.

A LENGHT OF CHAIN IS USED TO CONNECT THE FRONT LIFT TO THE BACK PART OF THE LIFT. THESE ITEMS DON'T BRING MUCH, I BOUGHT ONE LAST SUMMER AT A FARM AUCTION FOR 1 DOLLAR! HOWEVER IT DID NOT HAVE THE FRONT PART. I'VE SEEN COMPLETE SETS SELL FROM 30.00 TO 60.00. YOU'LL FIND A SUCKER ON EBAY THAT WOULD BE HAPPY TO PAY MUCH MUCH MORE. IF YOU HAVE A FORD N KEEP IT. IF YOU USE IT YOUR HYD BETTER BE GOOD AND DON'T FORGET TO USE GOOD BLOCKING. HERE'S A PIC OF A COMPLETE JACK (THANKS MR.SMITH)

Far as I know there were no 'rods' from front to back...There were light chains for that purpose...
