I posted this on the implement board and did not get any help other than it takes a family to mount one. That is the problem. I bought one from my neighbor and it took him, my wife, and myself the better part of the afternoon to hook it up. Is there a proper sequence of doing this or is there something wrong? The arms that ride under the axles that mount on the brackets there were wider. He said that he did not remember having this much trouble mounting it when he used it on his 9N. We were putting it on my 8N. Thanks for any help.

I just rebuilt one of these things and there is definitely a sequence to follow. I have the manual for the A-EO-B20 series mower if you need a copy. Now, you DO have the pin under the right axle to mount it to right? The break-away assembly on the pull bar can be rotated 180 degrees if that makes it easier to mount. At any rate:

1) Put mowing bar in cutting position.
2) Attach left link and left hand stabilizer bar to mower.
3) Using leveling crank, attach right link.
4) Insert top link throught safety chain and hook up top link.
5) With PTO still disconnected, start tractor and lift implement until pull bar connection aligns with and can be connected to tractor.
6) Hook up lift chain to right axle stay.
7) Raise mower up high to place safety chain on top link rack.
8) Install PTO/Drive shaft.
