Last year I replaced the PTO seal on my 52 8N. It seemed pretty easy, however, I think it leaks now more then ever. Any suggestions on what I might have done wrong or what to look for when I find the time to replace it again?

Paul, The seal rides on a sleeve and more than likely it may be worn or otherwise damaged. It's not too difficult to change the sleeve. I used a cold chisle to get it off and heated the replacement sleeve until it expanded enough to get it over the shaft. I didn't get it quite hot enough and had to use a hammer to help get it on. When you assemble the seal, be sure the lip of the seal is facing the inside of the housing and oil it up good before assembling.
Good luck.
