This is a great little tractor except for one quirk...she will not start in the morning or when the weather is cool. Doesnt matter if I use the choke or not. As soon as the day warms up (around 3pm) she starts easy without the choke. Motor runs great once she's going but it's really frustrating not being able to get her started anytime I need to use her. Any ideas or suggestions?? Getting tired of putting the battery on a charger.
Thanks

Roger..... ...theres a lotta reasons why your 9N is succeptable to early morning damp/cold weather NO STARTS. Has to do with moisture/dew and your sparkies. New copper core sparkie wires would be my first stop. Don't use modern anti-radio static carbon core sparkie wire.

I got a "hot-rod" set with copper core and quality silicon insulation for Pontiac V-8 because they came with right-angle sparkie boots. Cut to length. Soldered the sparkie nipple end terminal. My eazy starting 6 volt 52 8N sits outside in rainy N/W weather all the time and I have NO PROBLEM STARTING.

Remember the 6 volt MANTRA: "keep'em clean, bright, and tight" and don't be fer usin' enny of them thar wimpy ferrin battery cables. Gettcha some 'arrychested 'mercun made 1/ought (1/0) thick as yer thumb battery cables..... ....Dell

A new battery, and ballest resister cured my cold weather starting problems . ( 49 8N ) Front mount . It starts in 2 or 3 cranks setting outside in freezing weather. If it gets below 20 degrees I just forget about it, its to cold for me . I retired 4 years ago and dont have to go out and freeze my butt off like I used to .
