Hey, I got some good information on locating a serial #. The 1/2"x3" on the block is no longer. I used sand paper, black light, pencil and paper rub. The serial number is no longer. I did find on the engine a number 8N-B. Above that is a number a attached to the block with two very small screws with the number of ND100. Is this any indication of the date? Also on the bottom of the trany is a number that appears upside down reading L3093. Is this anything?
Thanks for any help.

Rex, "...number attached to the block with two very small screws with the number of ND100" - this is the casting date of the motor block, and in your case is, April(D), 10(10), 1950(0). ("N" is the series number.)

If you're just trying to figure out how old it is, look under the hydraulic pump, next to the drain plug. There should be a date cast in there. Take a rag and some degreaser (I like spray carb cleaner) when you crawl under the tractor.

Also, you could come close to figuring out the age by reading John Smith's page (see the link).
