I am looking for some 5.50 or 6.00 X16 front wheels (and tires if avaiable) for my 8N. I am trying to find something usable but inexpensive as this is a work tractor not a show tractor.

thanks

I put used 8 ply tubeless truck tires on mine. Didn't cost anything.

I got two 6.50x16 Titan 5 rib tires (didnt want to tear up the yard) and tubes, mounted for $118 at the local Gateway store. I was TSC the other day and 6.50x16 Firestone 3 rib tires were 46.99 ea. I didnt get the price on the tubes.

The 16" implement rims you speak of will hold anything from a 5.5 to a 6.5 I believe, in the standard 3-rib tires.. The rims tubes and tires are available at many farm stores, like TSC. You might also find a used/serviceable pair with decent rubber on them at a farm salvage place..tractor boneyard.. etc.

I think at TSC, the rims and tires are in the 30something range each.. with the tubes probably being half that... so if you get new, figure something like 150-180... They are real common rims and tires... should be able to pick them up somewhere local.

good luck
