Dell, the drain plug on the bottom of the carb on new tractor was epoxyed in due to being stripped out.
I had heard the tsx241 was a better carb than the tsx33. I'm going to have to get another carb and want your thoughts or opinion on them.
I can get either one for $50each. I have to rebuild them but thats not a problem. Ijust want the best carb.I did fuel systems work for 29Yrs.
and these are not a problem to work on.
Thank you for your time and help.

Mike..... ...TSX-33, TSX-241-A,B,orC, they're all correctly sized for the 121 cu/in N-Tractor flathead engine. There's minor bleed orifice differences. The TSX-241B had an "economizer circuit" that didn't work as well as they wanted. The TSX-241C is probably the best but I wouldn't shop around for one special. They all work if rebuilt properly..... ....Dell

Seems Dell is not at home but I can offer some assistance. The TSX33 is a fine carb with three jets and very well built. The TSX-241A, TSX-241B and TSX-241C were all later 8N carbs. The early 241's had two jets and the 241C went back to three jets. All will work great on any 9/2/8N. If You want quality go with either the 33 or 241B, 241A's were a problem carb and did not last long in production, the later 241C's (vintage 1952)were not so well machined nor were the castings as high quality as the earlier ones.
