rear hubs draging on brake housing

i have a 1952 n8 that has all new brakes installed. The problem now is the inside of thebrake drum is wearing against the housing that holds the brake shoes .Its almost like the wheel is going on to the spline to far.any idea of why.please help if you know. thanks much

If the hub is worn, it might be going on too far allowing the drum to hit the springs. If the end of the axle is beyond the outside of the installed hub, the hub is worn. Replace it.
The springs may be installed incorrectly so they stick out a little and the drum hits em. While you have the drum off, make sure the shoes are set properly against the backing plate. Uh, Don't ask how I know these things... Steve 8N 169302
