Ralph; I just put a new Agri Five 5' on my 9N. Have not used it long but seems to be well built. I added 300lbs to front of tractor as it wanted to jump a little with the clutch grabby as it is.

My .02$ worth.

A few things to consider.. a 5' hog will fit just about right to cover your N's rear wheels. 2nd.. N hyds are good for only about 750# before front end is light.
More cinsiderations.. the heavier the hog, the more hp the N uses to pull it, spin it up, and lift it.. that horsepower isn't used for cutting.

As long as you arn't 'trimming trees' a lighter duty cutter is gennerally lighter.. easier to lift, and gets more hp to the blades.

My 5' KK works great.

Depemds on what kind of material you will be cutting. If you will be doing light duty cutting - a King Kutter will work. If you are going to be cutting heavier stuff, you should upgrade to a better mower (Bush Hog, Woods, Rhino).

Hi Ralph,

I have two 5' brush hogs, a King Kutter brand I have had for over 20 years and a fairly new 5' International mower I got with a used tractor purchase. The King Kutter has held up well under light to moderate use. The International seems to be a good mower as well but has not been tried and proven by time and use.

You can get either of these brands new for about $600 or less. HTH. Rick H. Ga.
