Thanks for all the responses.Only 48 hours since the fire. Yesterday fire chief came over - cause of fire - fuse panel, insurance adjuster was there at the same time. Insurance Co's contractor measured for estimate and my contractor came over today. Building inspector came over today, O.K. to rebuild in same place, no closer to water but can extend to the side, to the back or up, existing septic good for 3B.R., 2 bathrooms and up to 2100 sq. ft. Three sons came over with 2 daughter in laws and 3 grandsons and one on the way. One son not married. Today took 8n, 960 with dump trailer, 650 with full service loader over to the site and started cleanup around 11 A.M. with 2 helpers nearly 1/2 done. Eldest son came over, he is carpenter- contractor and has built houses, he will do footings as soon as we have a plan - my wife is busy looking at plans. All of this is good therapy for all of us amd great seat time for me. Tomorrow I think I will add the 850 with Sherman backhoe and loader to the work force. May have to sell some Fords to pay for this. The Lake we are on is Chareston Lake Ont., it is very rugged like the Adirondack's with 133 islands giving 250 miles of shore line aprox. 96 miles main land and 150 miles of island shore line. Excellent fishing for Lake Trout, Northern Pike, Large and Small Mouth Base, Perch and numerous pan fish. The lake is about 12 North of the 1000 Island Bridge at the north end of interstate I-81 . A big THANK YOU. BURT.

Glad to hear it will be rebuilt. Somehow though I'm sure it won't be the same. But at least this time you could change anything you didn't like about the old place. Good luck.

Burt -- Sounds like you are on the way to recovery from a very unpleasant experience, and puting your machines to good use. One of my close friends and associates has a home built log cabin up on Mazinaw -- really nice -- pretty country up that-away. Good luck on get'in her closed before snow flies!!!

Good attitude! Mourn then dig right in and fix the place back up again. After a few years you will look back and say how the kids came together and built another Cottage to replace the old one. Then you can talk about old times and have new memorys develope with it. Good Luck! Mark H.

Hi Burt, Conversation sounds like everything is under control, and you will make good progress before the winter weather sets in. Good to hear you have some jobs for those tractors. Murray
