What color do you paint your rear wheels? I was thinking of using this "cold galvanizing" color I saw at Lowes in a rattle can.

Original color was gray like the hood and fenders. I have mine a silver from a spray can. Depends on your own taste and what color you want to paint them

Front wheels were tractor gray as were the rear center discs. Rear rims were electro-plated somewhere between zinc and cad. You need a good quality paint to last very long in plating colors.

I haven't done it yet, but I plan to use the silver cadmium paint from Eastwood. I checked out zinc and cold galvanizing plays, and it appears that they don't hold up long, and need re-application. This is not from experience, but from the instructions on the can.

Hey Brian-
I have used the Eastwood SIlver Cad on my gastank and it matches real close to the original silver-blue tint of real cadmium plating, however, I would not use it for the rear wheels. They make another product called Zinc Tank Tone for gas tanks, and it matches the original real zinc plating close. I saw forum member Walt Golembi's restored Jubilee recently and he used it on his and they look great. I made the mistake of using an aluminum paint. If you rub it, it turns black! John Smith used a DuPont Centari silver mix and it looks real close to the original zinc plating also.

Thanks. I'll look for it in the catalog. I'm trying to get ready and do the 2N over next year.
