Try the local VVA chapter (Viet Nam Veterans of America)& ask to speak to a Service Officer. The closest chapter may be miles away but even with a busy work load they will try to help. I know Ga. has chapters because I have met them at national conventions. Don't have to be a nam vet to get help from them. They have a website that can help you find closest chapter. you can e-mail me if you can't find them.
Some advice: Always keep copies of everthing.
Always keep appointments with VA.
Never give up.
Sign in every VFW post says "Its not the price you pay to join, Its the price you paid to be elgible"

Have you tried a veterans' advocacy group (such as AmVets)? I had started with them to review my case, but never followed through...

Go over to the Kountrylife board and ask for Old Sarge. He was over there this morning and is very knowledgable about Vet. affairs.

Contact the Disabled American Veterans. Here is a link to their site.

Have you tried the American Legion? Sometimes they take the side of Veterans against the system. Can't hurt to ask!!

I'd start with State and Federal Represntatives. Local VA Hospital heads. Local news folks. Stand outside the hospital with a sign stating your grievences. The squeeky wheel gets greased! HTH

My Dad had the same problem. He wrote his Congressman. Took a while but it got results. It is worth a try,
