When someone says "Block the Clutch". Does this mean to put a block on the clutch pedal so it is depressed down to the foot rest? Also, should you always block the clutch when the tractor is not going to be used for a while?

Thanks!

mine is a small piece of 1" X 2" with a hole drilled in it. I have a nylon wire tie through the hole atttaching it to the radius rod so it is always handy.

I fashioned a small piece of 2x4 to hold the clutch pedal down so that the clutch is disengaged, during long term storage, like over the winter. If the clutch is left engaged, the clutch disc can freeze itself to the clutch plate.
Hope this helps.

Or rust together (I think). There may be metal in the clutch faces or something that binds them together. The idea is to keep the clutch faces separated for storage longer than a few weeks. One guy uses a Coke (beverage of your choice) can. I use scrap 1x2s and 2x2s. Mike
