Let me ask this question. Is it honest to have members of your "family or friends" post messages on the board talking up a product that you are selling? We have all seen the posts that come right out of the blue saying, "I got my Zane Thang today!" If you check those posts, many of them have different names but the same internet address. So, I ask the question...Just how many brother-in-laws does Zane have? It is wrong to promote one's product in this way. Say what you want, but others were not allowed to sell their products on this board. Right is right and wrong is wrong. What say you?

If I buy a 2N, 9N or Ferguson I would buy a Zane Thing the next day. I have been around these little tractors for more than 50 years and he was the first to solve the position-control problem. Furthermore, he has given freely of good advice, sometimes the best advice, on repair and maintenance of our old machines. He has saved folks on this forum many hundreds, maybe thousands, of dollars. He is one of the Forum Treasures! He is also a gentleman. Mike-Iowa

Max,

Richard doesn't have to own a tractor to come here and stir things up by crudely insinuating someone he does not know is dishonest. A grade "A" jerk would be an apt description.

Mike

What Kim said. Plus, if you're so suspicious of Zane's products, why haven't you seen any negative reviews from people who have been burned by buying shoddy stuff?

I'll tell you why. Zane's Thang and Live Thang and Adjusting Jig are as good as advertised. And Zane is a straight up honest individual....maybe you've never met one of those before and that's why you can't believe Zane could be that good.

Richard, I'm not sure how familiar you are with IP addresses, but AOL (America Online) uses the same two IP's for hundreds of thousands of people. Zane is on AOL. So you'll see about 20% of the messages here were posted by people you are referring to as "Zane's Uncles".

I also want to mention out that your own IP address, was used to post the message I'm responding to and also another message where the person calls themselves "Robert Kline".

My point is, this type of accusation should be fully researched and documented before you make it public.

Thanks,
Kim

Maybe Richard's the one with uncles, aunts and friends of the board.
