I tried searching the archives, and I'm trying to locate a company that sells the spring and shock for the rest-o-ride seat. Does anyone have information about this? I would appreciate it. thank you in advance. 9N'er

I may be confused a bit, but I thought the Rest-O-Ride seat came out on the later series Fords and they didn't have a shock on them. They hade two rubber wheel type things on the back that did the lift work and the cushioning. My 63 4000 has one for which I am currently looking for a new large cushioned seat bucket for, anyone know where I can find one? All the 8n's and 9n's I have seen including my 51 8n have the steel flat spring and plain steel seat. Thanks in advance Greg NE

The Rest-O-Ride did come out later. But as with many other things, they were adapted to the older tractors as the farmer saw fit. Lately I've seen a bunch of high-back padded lawnmower seats on N's.

but actually it's for a buddy with an 8N. Wish I could find one of those seats. WIth my 6-4 plus frame, it seems a person can sit a little higher up in the seat. But then again, my wife says I ride high in the saddle some times too....

Any idea what she means by that? :) LOL -9N'er

9N'r If you have the seat with the rubber cushions go with D.R.Whites post for the phone number for Minn-Kota for your rubber repair. If your seat has the shock on it then go with the following.
For the 9N seat: Monroe # 11491
For the 8N seat: Monroe # 18144
From what I understand, each had a different model seat. Good Luck with that great lookin' 9N. Tom-Pa
