Who is in charge of this forum? Inform everyone that their is a fraud scheme going around about purchasing things listed on this forum and to make a short story short, they agree to purchase your merchandise but they will send extra money so you can ship the item for them. They want the money sent back via western union thus when you cash it, you send the remainder gack to them and when the "cashiers check or what ever" doesn't clear you are stuck with the bill. Everyone be very leary on any transactions. Would the own of this forum contact me. Thank you.

I was not aware of the email address hiding. I do not care who is offended by this request, but I did not see the owners email address otherwise I would have contacted her. Non the less, the word is out, I am in no way bothered by comments by others. I'd rather be heckled than have someone taken advantage of. I have written the forum manager per Dell's link. Thanks

Rick..... ....I understand you are upset, but I think it is rather ARROGANT of you to DEMAND the webmistress contact you, and then you hide your e-mail address.

May I respectfully suggest that YOU CONTACT HER, she is concerned that her Yesterdays Tractors Forums are well run and if you have a problem, its your responsibility to let her know. And I would suggest that you do it privately rather than embarrassing yourself in OPEN FORUM. There are MANY clicks and referals for e-mail to the Yesterdays Tractors Administrator throughout the entire Yesterdays Tractors WebSite, you didn't look very closely.

For your convenience, I've included one for you to exercise that left mousie's ear over. kim@yesterdaystractors.net..... ...respectfully, Dell

You need to take a look at yourself. People have been trying to tell you to lighten up for years. Kim does not need a watch dog.

I wasn't aware of the Hiding of my email address, something new in the past year since I have visited the sight. I am not upset, I am warning all of you not to fall of victom to this. Nothing more, nothing less. I just also wanted to let the person who is in charge of this forum to assure the word gets out in the entire tractor forum. If this bothers people then feel free to contact me.

Yep.. that scam goes around alot.. common origin is nigeria.. etc.. Modus operandi is they contact you about something you have for sale... tell you they are sending extra $, and for you to arange shipping, and to send any extra $ back... you send the item off.. pay the shipping, send the rest of the $ back.. then the check is bad.. and you have basically paid someone to send your tractor overseas, and then sent them some cash to have fun with..
Anytime you see someone wanting to overpay, and then 'send the rest back'.. get suspicious... I know I wouldn't ever send extra money ,and ask for the rest sent back...etc..

In the meantime, suggest that the seller wait to send the item until everthing has cleared. Could this help?

they are working overtime in E Bay, a new skam, Harleys and Indian motor cycles for buy it prices of 5 to 6 thousand dollars for 15 to 20 thousand dollar cycles, E mailed one as it said located in the U-S but didn't give a state, they are in the UK and just send them the money and they will ship the cycle free shipping and if you don't want it they will pay to send it back at their expence. the shipping would cost more than the item. I wonder how many other things they are doing on e bay, the cycles is easy to spot, the buy it now price but I wonder if they are doing it in other catogories, E bay has been knocking them off when reported but they keep sending them, they steal good sellers ID from e bay some how to use to pull these skams

Yes,
They are doing it in ATV and snowmobiles. Even easier because no titles. They want everything done money order or cashiers checks. Somehow they are stealing the ID's.

If too good to be true....you know.
