Live hydraulics, the NAA, 1953 (OK, some were made in late 52). Ford dealers installed the optional live PTO on NAAs in 1953 as well. The first Ford live PTO from the factory was on the 660/860 models in 1955. Although, I heard somewhere (probably at this site) that there was an extremely rare aftermarket live PTO for 8N's ...

Bob is 100% correct in his information. I would just like to add that up until 1955, Ford was a one-model tractor maker. Starting in '55 Ford started offering 4 different series with multiple models in each series (except the 700 series which only came as a 740). ONLY the 660, 860 and 960 models came with live pto. Just because a Ford tractor is a '55 or newer doesn't mean it has live pto. If you want live pto you have to pay attention to the model number. Live hydraulics, on the other hand, were on ALL Fords starting with the '53 Jubilee (OK, late '52).
