i have a 2n with a small trip bucket loader. my problem is there is no control when you raise the bucket, it raises at full speed, (all or nothing). if you try to pull the lever back just a little, the bucket actually drops slowly. When lowering you can control the speed. do i need a differant style valve?
thanks in advance

Ross

You might consider putting a flow control valve inline beteen the control valve and lift cylinder, or replace the control valve with one with a different spool set-up that allows more precise variable flow. They make a needle control valve that controls flow in one direction only without impeding reverse flow. I used one from WW Grainger on a small hydraulic crane and it worked well, didn't cost too much.
