Anyone see the show Fri. night? Was fun to see something like that here in Upstate, NY! When I got sick of Time Warner's hand in my hip pocket I had to decide between Dish Network which has RFD television, and Direct TV which has NFL Sunday ticket...well I've been into Football even longer than tractors, so that show on Iowa Public Television made a little happier about my decision. Was a good show, interesting and pretty accurate except 3 things; the "showroom lookin' 8n with loader in the studio had the rims painted light gray, the beautiful but 2 tone Case SC, and the footage of the guy driving the Deere 1050 in the "antique" tractor parade. Good show though, kinda brought our world to the YUPS!

Pete: Thanks for nice comments about Iowa PBS. That 8N was Lyle's dad's tractor and Lyle did the work himself. Not a perfect restoration though, because he wanted to keep his dad's amateur welds just as dad made them. Rims probably were added after the paint job. By the way, I was on one of the phones, and we raised $20,000 for public television, which PBS folks said was quite good. I did not see the show because I was too busy. Understand my Jubilee was on screen for milliseconds twice. Mark Pearson, Dave Mowitz and Lyle Kreps are some long-time buddies. Mike-Iowa

Would love to have been able to see the tractor show on TV.

Will it be run again and if so would it be avaliable in Alabama and if so what time?

Would it be possible to get it on RFDTV?

I just recently got "Dish Network" and am really pleased with it so far. I got it over others because of the RFDTV option. I have had it a week and already got my money's worth of tractor shows etc.

Thanks you guys, I will keep an eye out for it on our Public broadcast TV. I do have the "Dish Network" now and they have RFDTV and I may see it there soon.

Hi there Zane: Do you get public television there in your neighborhood? If so, I suspect they will show this sometime in the future. Iowa Public Television made the show with support from a farm magazine (where I used to work), Pioneer seed and others. It was expensive and therefore will likely be used by other public television stations. I get so disgusted with the big, old-time channels and their dumb programming that I use Natinal Public Radio and Public Television even though they sometimes are a bit liberal for my tastes. Also, your dish may have a public channel. If it does let me know and I will check for the rebroadcast which is scheduled for a Sunday night, perhaps this coming Sunday, but I am unsure. Good to hear from you. Cordially, Mike-Iowa
