I've been looking at electronic tachs from Sunpro, etc. for my 8N with a pre-1950's governor. Problem is, all seem to be made for 12 volt systems. Is there any way I can rig one to work with my original 6 volt system??? TIA. Archer

Archer..... ...yer lookin' the wrongplaces for the wrong types of tachometers.

You can get a watch battery operated LCD "digital" tachometer that you can mount to your dash panel. It will work on 1,2,3,4,6,8 cylinder engines. It operates by inductive coupling by wrapping the sensor wire around any sparkie wire. About $25..... .....Dell

Do an internet seach on TinyTach. It is what Dell is describing. J C Whitney has similar product that should also work just fine.
