Stopped at Bryans auction yard - one Jub, one 2n. Hahns yard at Stratford 3-400 tractors one 8n. Found a collector with 60 Ns none restored. Stopped at a farmer friend he has nice 2n Funks 6 cyl., nice 8n Funks 6, nice 8n with Dearborn loader and Sherman backhoe, working on 861 and 640 also 6-7 Minnis. Next stop master restorer- collector, excellent restoration of: 841D, 4000D SOS 4x4, 861D-SOS4x4, 881D SOS gold 4x4, 871D SOS 4x4, 841D with full service loader and Sherman reversing trans, another 4000D 5sp live PTO. WOW what a collection. This man and his staff do all the work, all excellent. He personally does the SOS trans, motor and any machine work. He had a complete SOS a part on the bench- never seen one apart before. Next stop: The Literature Shop this store has $100,000s of stock mostly cars and trucks. Off to the side of the shop 12 beautifully cars from 1908- 1959 including 1951 Buick conv. featured in the book "100 years of Buick". Next stop retired IH truck dealer nice collection of cars and trucks. Next off to Fawcett tractor wreckers bought a few parts, they got an 850 with loader and Sherman backhoe in for wrecking. MUCH, MUCH, MORE BURT.
