My '46 2N was a state work tractor so it was painted YELLOW! That is the original color of my tractor but I will NOT keep it that color. I agree with Claus, paint it whatever color suits yer fancy. Mine will probably be an almond color when done. Works for me!

This whole "Color" thing is a specious argument. There are millions of different colors all varying in hue and saturation. Colors from one manufacturer for the "Original Color" will vary from another. Even with the same manufaturer, hue and saturation can vary from batch to batch. Bottom line, Paint it the way it makes you happy. For those who want to find the "Elusive Correct Color" knock yourself out.
Happy Painting
Claus

I had a 2N that was painted 8N colors and I was very proud of it. It was actually a 2N body with an early (front mount dist.) 8N engine so it might have had every right to wear red! I often thought that I would one day restore it but I got so used to it being red and gray that I would have had a hard time painting it "original". I have since sold it. Last time I new it still sported an 8N suit.

My 8N is supposedly painted a red that should be a match of "original" color, however I find it too orangey. Point is, even though it is a marketed original variant I don't like it!
