Mabye you guys in snow country can help me out there, Rich is bragging about the traction he has and driving over 4' drifts but then he ends his post with " now all I need is a snow plow for it". I guess I'm just a dumb southerner but, wouldn't actually moving some snow effect his traction? Or can a feller clear snow by "tractoring" over it?

Dear N'ers

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Functionality, is as well. Resist the temptation to take them on. My reason for saying this is that you won't win. You probably won't even feel like you accomplished anything when the dust settles. If'n you want to discover what total frustration is, go into a political forum and read about people's beliefs. Or, if'n you are foolish enough make a political comment. Then wait for the firestorm to begin. Those of you who have been there know what I am speaking about. Going there will not get you one convert or any semblance of understanding. What will happen is some of them will come into this site and begin making their comments here. You don't want that, believe me. It could become a class war, of sorts. All tractors have their drawbacks and we discuss ours with, for the most part, objectively. An example, maybe is your children. Your children aren't perfect but you don't want someone outside your family telling you what they don't like about them.
even if what they say is true, you will become fighting mad. Same with tractors.
Sorry for the long post. Hope this provides a different perspective. fwiw and my 2 cents.

No, I am not a preacher by profession.

If they were very smart they wouldn't be wasting time on one of those brands of tractors anyway. Ever notice at tractor shows that the Fords are not there because they are at home doing something usefull and the place will be pack with the other color tractors that weren't very usefull even when they were brand new. Compared to the Fords that is.

JMHO....The worst part of that whole thread is when they started beating up on someone just cuz he can't spell. I know of individuals that never took to book learning, but put a tool in their hand, you'd never know.

Hard to say... though the contribuitors to this board are a bit more open minded I would say.. as I don't recall any discussions in recent history that trash -any- tractor make / model.

Perhaps they are just jealous?
