Over the holidays i was cleaning the garage out and found a Fulton winch brand new. it is a hand winder.will this be able to pull tractor on trailer 9N ? here are the stats
1-4:1 ratio
2-1400 lbs max line pull
3-can double line = 2800 lbs
4-trailer has 5' ramps and is about 20" off the ground
5-i had used a 2ton comalong before with no problems
6-i do have a WARN winch that is 8000 lbs 12volt
7-Warn is removable to 2" towing hitch, but need to mount on trailer and some longer cables to run it
8-would like to mount the hand one first and then power one later
9-any advise is helpful thanks BOB

Bob - A 1 1/2 ton chain hoist is the easiest way I've found to load "manually". Easier than a come-along and a whole lot easier than a hand cranked winch. If you get up close you can usually get 'er up on the trailer in one "hook-up". But I have to agree with Pat that pushing a button is easiest. Worth taking the time to mount (or chain up) your electric winch.

I agree it will be a tough pull, but one does what he has to do, I have used the come along,, I didnt like the rehooking of the chains and pulling the cable out all the time, I went and picked up a 8n with my wife and pushed it all the way on, that was cool, then ,,and now, I use a 4" truckers strap on one of those "winch"attachments that hook to the rails on the bed,,, it works, but man it is work, it is one to one,, so anything will work but it will be tough,, hence the finally getting my winch going,, I like the fact of pressing a button and up she comes good luck, pat

I used a 1700lbs winch and a snatch block to pull a TD-6 on a trailor, it was all we could do but it did it

See my post below with picture of one mounted. I think you will have a hard time with the Hand Crank one. Mark H.
