I have a nagging problem on my 2N that I have
put off fixing. There is a battery drain that I
cannot find the source of. After each use I disconnect the battery and no problem. When I connect the battery I hear a slight "twoing"
coming from the cutout relay. I have a new wiring harness, cutout, ign switch, and I had the
generator checked at a shop. I did polarize the
new relay when I installed it. Help! Thanks.

Unhook the ground cable from the battery and connect a volt meter between the cable and the battery post - if it shows a current flow start unhooking wires until it stops. On my NAA it was the starter switch grounding out.

Assuming original 6 Volt system, I would suspect you either have stuck together cutout contact points, or the connections to the GEN and BATT terminals on the cutout are reversed.

I have not had that problem, but have read it here several times, possibly got a bad cut out right from the box. Try disconnecting the cut out at output side. leave it overnight if it is ok in the morning most likely a bad cutout
