In addition;

15 to advise that some light bulbs can be "bad right outta the box"
4 to advocate changing the light bulb "for all the right reasons" and instead of "google search", insert "search the archives" and you have us!

I too, Sit back and read almost daily the good the bad and the irritating posts that come and go on this board. I sometimes would like to answer the question but I usually come to the conclusion that Somebody that knows more will answer or will post it before I can hit the post button.

I have a folder filled with information that I have saved from this board. But I never look at it to answer questions. I figure If I ever sell my tractor I'll give the new owner my folder and he'll know how to keep it running another decade or two..

Now I shall settle back into the background and continue reading all the interesting posts.

On a more serious note..

I really value the knowledge that everybody contributes on this board. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have kept my tractor running as good as it does..

Thanks
Happy "N"ew Year
J52J/Jess

Hi Ron, I would have to agree with the information you have posted.Makes one to believe that some have to much idle time.There has been and will continue in the future great information on this board. Quite often I am hesitant to post, asking a question or if I do have the knowledge to post what I think is the answer, as others can get severley annoyed. So I just mostly read and stay quiet. Although I have often wondered what type of personality some of the readers have. Now what people have I annoyed on this Sunday afternoon? cheers, Murray

Like you most of the time I just read the posts, but at times I just have to dip my toe into the water and take the results. I just don't take it personally or try not to.

Here's another with a different slant on it. Ron
A bit of Philosophy for the day..... ..... Life and a Can of Beer When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar ... and the beer. A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "yes." The professor then produced two cans of beer from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed. "Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.. The golf balls are the important things-your family, your children, your health, your friends, your favourite passions-things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. "The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, your car. The sand is everything else-the small stuff. "If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. There will always be time to clean the house, and fix the disposal. "Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand." One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the beer represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of beers."

My old roommate from College would love that. We were best buds...kinda like Jon Belushi and that other guy in that movie "Animal House" My bud always used to say "that's aight" when he saw something he liked. Now he's a computer programmer and I am a half cracked Farmer, but reading stuff like that reminds me of "the good ole days" I even have the beer belly to remind me, man, how life does change.
