Just wanted to see what you guys think about the 8n I'm picking up this weekend. '51, tires 85%, new rings, new bearings (put in by an engineer for Cummins who knows his stuff), new wiring switched to 12 volt, tin in good condition, starts great (20 degee weather), runs great. I'm paying $2,000 and I am pretty happy.

If I'd bought it here in eastern VA, I'd be happy also! Tractor like that would go for $2500-2800 around here.

I'd say your getting a good deal. I paid $2800 for a 51 8n a year ago and it needed rear tires, ($800) plus a good tune-up and a hydro oil change and a starter. You might think about a hydraulic oil change along with any other minor maintanance you think it needs.
Good luck and enjoy.
