Does anyone out there have a wiring diagram for an 8N 12 volt conversion showing both the ammeter and a voltmeter wired up?

Use the wiring diagram from Neil's site. Then all you have to do is run a wire from either side of the ammeter to the positive of the voltmeter and the negative side of the voltmeter to a good ground.

Instead of hooking the positive of the meter to the ammeter, hook it to the switched side of the key. This way the meter would not be on all the time even though it would take 27 years for the meter to discharge the battery.
