radiator hose thermostat (dumb question)

I just took the upper radiator hose off my n and found there was a themostat in it. Is this original. Do I need to put it back. Is it worth money, as in is it rare. I didn't know there was such a thing in my tractor. thanks for the info Philip

Put the T-stat back in if it is working. If that T-stat was not working replace it with one that works. Your N will run better, last longer. The N was built that way. It is not rare, it is not worth a lot of money.

Where can I buy another one. I have two ns and I know the other doesn't have one as I have replaced the upper hose.
