I am working on this 46 2N for a friend and never saw this before. I haven't taken the wheel off to see what it is all about. Does anyone know anything about this extension, how it fits, why one would have it?

I would like to have an extension like this. I have long legs and the steering wheel is a little too close in case I have to jump off to avoid getting crushed in a tipover. This crushing business is always on my mind. I had one close call almost tipped over with a Farmall Cub when one front wheel went over a big rock that was hidden in the tall brush I was cutting.

RJ, This is the 3rd one of them I've seen. I haven't had one a part, But they are nice as you don't have to remove the steering wheel to get the hood off. I don't know if they were designed for clearance for when you had a loader on or what. As the old dearborn loaders had that pipe across right at the top of the wheel. John

It makes removing the hood easier without having to remove the steering wheel.
