I AM INTERESTED IN CHANGING TRACTOR WHEEL SPACING IN ORDER TO PLANT VEGETABLES ON 30" ROWS SO I NEED TO MOVE WHEELS OUT TO 60 INCHES. I HAVE READ BOTH OWNERS MANUAL AND FO MANUAL AND STILL CAN'T GET IT THROUGH MY PEE BRAIN. DOES ANYONE HAVE A BETTER EXPLANATION OR KNOW WHERE TO GET ONE THANKS ALOT!!

Randy,

There are 2 pieces on each side you use when changing the width. The wheel itself and the center hub. The wheel has the lugs offset in the wheel. If you switch sides with the rear wheels, can increase or decrease the width and still have the tread going in the right direction. You can also turn the hub around on each side and gain additional width. The hub can be bolted to the outside or the inside of the wheel lugs to adjust the width.

Its hard to explain but if you look at it some, you should be able to figure it out.

Good luck,
Danny

Randy..... ..what Danny said..... .and.....
Standard 8N wheel width is 52". If'n ya swapps the left wheel fer the right wheel and insides-out the wheel as you install it, you'll get 68" and a feel for how the this changeable tread width scheme works.

If'n ya really need 60" width, yer gonna need a flame wrench to cut the 6 rusty rim bolts so you can use new p/n 350719-S8 bolts, 5/8-18 X 2.82 roundhead bolt, (most people use 5/8 X 3" carrage bolts) and move the rim attach points per the picture in the I&T FO-4..... ....Dell
