According to the 9N diagram, does the ignition switch have to be closed to send power to the headlights?

John, You are seeing what I am; if you are looking at the linked schematics that is what you are seeing. IMO the ignition switch is too light duty to carry the additional draw of the lighting circuit. IMO, a better place to connect the headlights is from the main lug on the terminal block. Much heavier wireing. Stay away from the primary ignition circuit. Of course you have to remember to turn your lights off. Remember, headlights were a dealer installed item so they may have been hooked in anywhere. ray
