I have my Wagner loader almost ready to fire up. I have a couple more hydraulic connections to make and put inn the pump drive shaft. So, after it is all connected what type of fluid do I fill it with? I have heard automatic transmission fluid. Also after it is full is there an initial startup procedure, as far as getting the air out of the system, or does it work its way out after a few up and downs with the bucket? Thanks, it has been a while since I have been on here, darn tractor is so reliable.

I recently installed a steering unit for my Ford 850 from Jackson Power Steering. They also have a complete line of products for loaders. You might call them. The web site is:

I've always used plain old hydr. fluid. Cuz my pump leaks, I get it in the 5 gal bucket. I know there are 2 or 4 holes at the top of the arch which should bleed off air. My concern would be getting the out flow pipes full of fluid b/4 connecting the stinger pump. Hopefully others will chime in with more/better info. A few questions back at ya if I may.
I've got a WM3 w/leaky pump and controller. I've heard you can't find parts to rebuild. If you had the same, what are the options. Filtering fluid. Add on or stay w/OEM. Thanks. HTH...good luck....don t. .....

Well, my pump was leaky and had shot bearings, and the controller was stuck and leaky too. I pulled the pump apart, took the bearings and seals downs the the local bearing and seal shop, and bought brand new bearings and seals. They had them in stock and they were common parts. Apparently there are not as many sizes of bearings and seals as we may believe there are. Then I pulled the controler apart and bought 4 new nitrile o-rings, cleaned the shafts, and reassembled that. It was not that difficult to do. I did have to make 2 gaskets for the ends of the controler of of gasket paper, but that was not difficult either. Good luck, Andy.

Run it up and down a few times ,it'll work it's way out. It will be a little jerky at first. Don't worry about it. People try to make things too complicated.
