I have replaced my 2N block and just noticed that the replacement block is missing the studs that hold the tappet covers on. Can I just use a stud remover to change the old ones from my old block to my new one? It looks like it will be a tight fit getting a stud remover in there. I can't try it right now, because my remover has been lent out. Any ideas?

Use 2 nuts. Tighten one against the other and then use an open end wrench on the inner nut.. I hardly ever use my stud puller because the teeth grip the threads and ruin them...The two nut deal works great..
P.S. Careful who you lend your tools to..
Happy Motoring
