I have a '39 9n the right rear hub has two a sloted band and a keyed 44 tooth sprocket on the outside. Also there is a solid metal piece (no bolts like normal) on the outside. It is indented where the bolts would be. Any help on its use would be helpful. It does not match my other one.

I still think that is a drive for a corn planter attachment. I recall my grandfather mentioning that many years ago when I asked.

Probably a drive cog for a planter.
