I planning on painting my bushog, boxblade and scraper blade with maybe a rustolem Implement Enamel. What would be a good rule of thumb mix of enamel and thinner. Would 45 lbs pressure at the tank outlet be about right for 50 foot of hose. The spraygun is a Lee Brand. Any help will be appreciated. If this works ok I may even spray the ol 8n.

I agee. Follow the paint instructions to the letter. Metal prep and prime the rusted areas before a top coat. You can't tell about the info you gave us on the pressure, since hose size has a lot to do with final pressure. Assuming you don't have an in-line regulator, suggest that you invest a little money and put a small gauge/regulator on the end of the gun handle. Most auto painting stores carry them. Without that little item, or an in-line regulator, your compressor pressure will vary every time it cycles, causing the pressure at your gun to vary proportionately, and I guarantee you will have a botched job (by my standards anyhow, but maybe you may not care about some runs and orange peal on farm implements which I could also understand). In any event, off the top of my head, 45 lbs. at the compressor doesn't sound like enough for enamel top coat. My $.02
